So, after a lucrative season of mowing lawns, raking leaves, and performing other lawn maintenance duty, you have a lot of money. Use this money wisely, and don't spend all of it immediately.
Don't spend all of it immediately
When you receive your payment for mowing a lawn, don't go out a spend it all at once. I would suggest saving some immediately after receiving cash. At the very least, tip yourself, and take out 20% for your savings.
What to do with the saved money
I suggest getting a Sharebuilder account. It is what I use, and you can buy stocks with the account, which is very cool.
Give a little bit
Some religious organizations call it "tithing." Kindergartners call it "sharing" and "being nice." Give 5% or 10% of you earnings to a worthy organization (or, like, church).
Save for new equipment
Equipment ain't cheap. So save for some new ways to expand your business. So you can make MORE money! Hurray!
As you may have noticed, I was able to change the domain name. Hip hip, HOORAY! After dealing with CNAMES and name servers and ghs.google.com and moniker.com and lots of other randomness, the domain name has now changed! Now, a big cheer for Robert! (If you didn't know, he got me the domain name. Oh yeah, and he's really cool.)
Hey! You just might find this blog at a new domain: TeenLawnCare.com. This really cool guy named Robert (the least I can do is link to his website) set me up with two domains: TeenLawnCare.com and TeenLawnCareBlog.com. Hahahaha. Now I own them! But this is really nice. However now I am trying to get my blog to show up on TeenLawnCare.com. But the system is being annoying. Gah! Something about CNAMEs but it is trying to show up on name servers.... it's creepy, I know. But yeah, hopefully this blog will eventually be on TeenLawnCare.com. That is cool. So, thanks again Robert! (Robert is really cool... have you noticed?)
I decided to start this blog because many teens have or want to start lawn mowing businesses. I want to give valuable information to other teens because of my first-hand experience... I mow peoples' lawns for pocket money. I have been doing this long enough that I already have plenty of experiences and knowledge to share, and I will continue to gain more knowledge and experiences as I continue to grow the business.
